LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - As a young, Oscar-nominated actor at the top of his game, Heath Ledger probably didn't think he had to update his will anytime soon.
Although the late actor neglected to include his daughter Matilda Rose and her mother, actress Michelle Williams, in his will, his family insists they will provide for the two.
"Matilda is our absolute priority, and Michelle is an integral part of our family," Ledger's father Kim says in a statement. "They will be taken care of, and that's how Heath would want it to be."
Ledger's rep seconded this assertion. "The story is getting taken out of context and media is speculating that this means Matilda and Michelle will not be taken care of. I want to make it very clear nothing could be farther from the truth."
The details of Ledger's will -- filed in Australia in April 2003 -- were released on Saturday, March 8. In it, he left everything he owned to his parents and sister. Ledger and Williams met on the set of Ang Lee's Oscar-winning "Brokeback Mountain" and had a daughter, Matilda Rose, together in 2005.
The Australian actor, 28, was found dead of an accidental drug overdose in his Manhattan apartment on Jan. 22 by a masseuse who had an appointment with the Oscar-nominated actor. He was buried in his hometown of Perth, Australia in February.
