Heath Ledger Doctors Cleared

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Good news for two doctors who were being investigated in connection with Heath Ledger's death: They're off the hook for any wrongdoing.

The Drug Enforcement Agency determined that two doctors in California and Texas didn't have a hand at prescribing painkillers Oxycontin and Vicodin, two of several drugs mixed together that caused Ledger's death, reports the New York Post.

The feds questioned the doctors, both of whom met and prescribed the actor different medications.

Toxicology reports determined that the aforementioned drugs mixed with anti-anxiety drug Valium, sleep aid Restoril, anti-anxiety medication Xanax and sleep aid Unisom were the cause of Ledger's death.

The Australian actor, 28, was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Jan. 22 by a masseuse who had an appointment with the Oscar-nominated actor. He was buried in his hometown of Perth, Australia earlier this month.
