Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony became the proud parents of twins, a boy and a girl, early Friday, Feb. 22 in New York, reports People.

"Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon," said Lopez's manager Simon Fields.

The baby girl, weighing 5 lbs. 7 oz., was born first at 12:12 a.m. Her brother followed at 12:23 a.m., weighing 6 lbs. The names have yet to be announced.

Lopez, 38, and Anthony, 39, were married on June 5, 2004, just four days after his divorce to his first wife, Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, was finalized. The twins are their first children together. Anthony already has three children: daughter Arianna with his ex-girlfriend Debbie Rosado and two sons -- Christian, 7, and Ryan, 4, with Torres.

Lopez revealed her pregnancy to Miami concertgoers last November at the end of her "El Cantante" tour. Her father revealed on Spanish-language television earlier this month that she was expecting twins.

Twins have been a popular trend in Hollywood the past few years. Famous parents of twins include Julia Roberts, Marcia Cross and Dennis Quaid. Angelina Jolie is suspected of carrying two bundles of joy, but so far there has been no confirmation to the speculation.
